I was an active member of the China Hypertension League more then 20 years ago and they held a
training project called CHIEF forum. Chinese predecessors including Prof. Zhaosu Wu, Prof. Ningling
Sun, and Weizhong Zhang guided us a lot at this event. I admire them very much and will never forget
these people.

How can we support the next generation of women scientists?
We really need to actively support young female clinicians, community physicians, and researchers in
the field of hypertension. We should discover them and encourage them like the Chinese old story
BOLE. When we recruit students, we also need to consciously encourage female students. We should
actively give opportunities to promising female young scholars. We can also conduct training projects
for young female scholars such as summer classes.
